Still Life Project:
The Still Life Project is an opportunity for students to improve their ability to organize a composition using normal, every day items. This is a time honored tradition for artists to practice and refine their drawing skills.

The Objectives:
- The drawing objectives of this project are to define the various objects by their Local Value rather than simply outlining the object and slightly changing that Local Value to reflect an object's form or pattern.
- This project should also reflect an understanding of casual perspective in the organization of objects in space by overlapping, changing object size and placement.
- Students should also explore the possibilities of the metaphorical potential of the objects used in their drawings (ie: music player = music, or love of music).
